Welcome to Carey Baptist Church

Sunday Services in Church have now resumed

Due to the Corona Virus many of our normal activities are currently suspended, but Sunday services in church have now resumed. Latest Covid service update here.

Although we are able to meet together on Sundays now we are quite limited in the format of services and we are aware than a lot of folk will not feel comfortable coming back to church under the current circumstances. So we will continue to post service content online on our YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8LYW9Jna9DwlVTdU23BtbA and we will post audio files of our sermons on this site and on our sermon phone line. (01772 347 728 calls charged at local rate if you are in Preston)

We will also continue to keep in touch with one another by phone, WhatsApp and our Facebook Group where we can chat and where we post links to our service content. It is a private group, so we can share personal information and prayer requests, but all who worship with us, or have done so in recent times are welcome to join – just search Carey Baptist Church – Preston in “groups” and ask to join.

Lucy, our children and young people’s worker continues to work hard connecting with the youth via Zoom and Whatsapp (with proper safeguarding in place) and doing craft activities and story time for the little ones . She hopes that in person youth club might be able to resume with social distancing in a few weeks time.

These are difficult times for all of us right now, but we continue to pray for all those in our country and around the world who are being adversely affected by the pandemic. We trust that in this, as in all things, God is with us and will see us through.

Although things are a little better than they were a few months ago it may still be quite a while until we can return to anything much like our previous normality, but until then here’s a reminder of better times on our walk up Pendle Hill last year.
