And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Hebrews 10:24-25

We believe that we were made by God to know and love him and each other. That means that we place a high value on meeting together to worship God and learn more about his purposes for our lives.

Service Format

Our Sunday worship service takes place at 10.30am. Typically this service lasts around one and a half hours and after the service there is tea, coffee, squash and biscuits, for you to meet new people or catch up with old friends.. We normally begin by singing some songs (mostly modern but with some old favourites too) and then there is a talk for the younger worshippers before they go out to Sunday School. The service then continues with prayers, a Bible reading, a couple more songs and a message where we think about what God might want to say to us through that Bible passage. All our song words are projected onto a screen and there is usually a PowerPoint presentation with the message too.

Communion & Family Services

We have communion together every fourth Sunday of the month and about every six weeks we have an all age worship service where the children stay in throughout and the service is shorter with a short sermon.

During the service we provide an opportunity for our regular worshippers and members to give financially towards the work of the church. As a guest, please do not feel obliged to participate in the offering unless you want to.

There isn’t a dress code at church. Anything decent will do. Come smart, casual or anything in between and you’ll fit right in.

Expect a welcoming atmosphere with friendly people from all backgrounds and ages.

Hearing Aid & Wheelchair Assistance

There are hearing loops in both the church and halls - the church has disabled access via the alley between the church and hall. We recognise that this is not the best long term solution and will shortly be seeking Planning permission for a new ramped access. The ground floor of the hall is accessible to wheelchair users, although unfortunately there is no lift to the first floor.

Sermon Series

Our Sunday services generally follow a particular theme, either working through a book of the Bible, looking at topical issues or some other theme. These services are generally led by James, our minister. We do though have guest speakers from time to time and sometimes other members of the congregation preach too.

Other Meetings

Aside from our youth and children’s work (see the main menu) we have three other regular meetings. There is a prayer and Bible Study meeting each Wednesday in our prayer room at 1.30pm, a Bible Study every second Monday in our Coffee Bar at 7.45pm and a friendship club CAMEO (Come And Meet Each Other) which meets every second Thursday at 2.00pm in our church hall. Please contact us for more details of these meetings.
