Carey is a warm family friendly church in the heart of Preston. Our desire is to be a community of people committed to serving God and the people of Preston by growing closer to the Lord Jesus through worship, discipleship and sharing fellowship together as well as reaching out to others by proclaiming the Good News of Christ and serving the community.
We hold a traditional Evangelical theology, and as enabled by the Holy Spirit, focus on the Bible as the Word of God, and Prayer, as the foundations of our faith.
We run a variety of midweek activities, Bible studies, a youth group, Craft Afternoons, Holiday clubs, and a high quality Day Care Nursery.
The Bible Study is online on alternate Monday nights.
Youth club has restarted on Thursdays at 17:30
Messy Church (inc Craft Activities) is on the First Saturday of every month
“Carey Child Care Centre” (Our Day Nursery) is open weekdays from 8:00am to 17:30
Our Worship style is contemporary but retains some of the older hymns.
Song words and Bible readings (we generally use the New International Version) are projected onto a large screen.
Wheelchair access via the small alley at the side of the church: ask a steward for assistance.
We are members of the Baptist Union of Great Britain and the Evangelical Alliance and we support the work of the BMS and Tearfund in their overseas mission and development work.
